Ear pain or sudden hearing loss

Whistling / Feedback

A hearing aid whistling can happen when amplified sound leaks back into its microphone. A brief whistle as you put it in can be normal, but whistling that continues may mean the earpiece is loose, tubing is worn or your ears need a wax check. These gentle checks can help you find the next step. They are not a diagnosis: if you have pain or a sudden change in hearing, seek medical advice instead.
