Crackling / Cutting in and out

Hearing aid crackling or sound that cuts in and out can be caused by moisture, a weak battery or a worn part. Think about whether it started after rain, exercise or humid weather. Gentle drying and a fresh disposable battery may help, but corrosion or damaged parts need professional attention. Do not open the case or scrape battery contacts. If the hearing aid becomes hot, swollen or damaged, stop using it and contact the clinic rather than trying more home checks.
