Ear pain or sudden hearing loss

Battery drains quickly / Won’t charge

A hearing aid battery draining quickly or an aid that will not charge can have several causes. Streaming uses extra power, while disposable batteries need time to activate after their tabs are removed. Rechargeable aids need clean, dry contacts and the correct charger. Battery capacity can also reduce with age. Choose your power type for relevant checks. Never recharge disposable batteries, force a battery door or charge an aid that is wet, damaged, unusually hot or swollen.
